Overview

CompTIA Security+ is a government approved course that meets the ISO 17024 standard and is approved by the U.S. Department of Defense to fulfill Directive and 8570.01-M requirements. Once you obtain your Security+, you automatically have the CE designation required in the DoD Directive 8570.01 manual. Going forward, must comply with all CE program requirements of completing 50 CEUs in three years because of the obligation to maintain the credential. Security+ is the most closely aligned program for complying with government regulations under the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA).

Security+ is the most effective course if your goal is increasing your annual salary. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Security Specialists, Administrators and Managers earn over $86,000 per year. Security+ is an industry supported program, developed and maintained by leading IT experts to provide rigorous content that is designed to ace exams.
